To showcase the powerful ability of the recently introduced Follow feature and to get you more connections and leads, WiZiQ has decided to bring more, live Web2.0 action to your dashboard in the form of instant activity feeds. The new dashboard not only displays instant feeds, but also lets you connect to other members at multiple levels. Connecting at multiple levels in this context means, you will know who your followers are following and follow them, too – this is how one can make a network of networks.
Besides, if you are a teacher, you will also see instant activity feeds whenever a member performs some action on the public learning resources that you created – like, a member joining your class, attempting your test, and posting feedback/comments on classes, tests or tutorials. Learners will get subject/topic suggestions based on their past learning activity (class attendance and test attempts) on the subjects of their interest. Those suggestions can be viewed on “Your Preferences” link on the right top of your dashboard. You can modify your learning preferences any time by adding, or deselecting subjects/topics from the Suggested Topics section.
The new all-in-one dashboard – what all?
Let’s us quickly run through the different types of feeds that you now get to see on your new dashboard.- Teachers will see the comments posted by members on their classes/tests/tutorials/discussions
- Teachers and students will see the feeds when their followers follow other members
- Teachers will get activity feeds whenever members join their classes, or attempt tests
- Students will see the feeds whenever the teachers they follow schedule classes, create tests, upload tutorials, and start discussions
- Teachers and students will know about the new members on their dashboard, and can follow them and add them as contacts
- A Network View section that displays the number of - followers, direct contacts, members you are following, teachers you are learning from, and potential learners
- A new What's New section that displays the latest update on new features, releases, blog posts, etc.
- A new section, Action Items, has suggestions/reminders on resources, if any, that require action:
- Upcoming class to be presented (for teachers)
- Upcoming class to attend (students/learners)
- Pending contacts requests (students/learners)
- Tutorials shared (students/learners)
- Tests shared (students/learners)
How is this beneficial?
If you are a teacher:- See new members on your dashboard and - follow them, add them as contacts to build your network
- Generate leads by letting your followers know of your new classes, new tests, and new tutorials
- Your followers will get feeds on their dashboards on the new classes scheduled, tests created, and tutorials uploaded by you, thus enabling them to utilize your learning resources
- Your visibility on your students' dashboards will ensure that they always remain connected with you and not miss out on your new learning resources
- You will get updates on unprecedented range of learning resources made available by teachers from time to time
- Follow the followers (teachers/students) of your followers and multiply your network connections
- Share, discuss, and learn with your new followers
We look forward to your feedback.
