In our previous post on the Embeddable Virtual Classroom, we introduced some of the features and benefits of this innovative offering from WiZiQ. In this post, we showcase the exact step-by-step process, through which the Virtual Class Embeds would work.
Getting and pasting the Virtual Class Embed code in your blog or website:
- The teacher would log in after going to the WiZiQ website, with their account details and schedule a session.
- Once they schedule a session, they would be able to invite other students/ learners/ contacts and on the same page they would see the Virtual Class Embed code. This is not currently available, but will be in a few weeks time. However and meanwhile, all public session presenters can request us for the Virtual Class Embed codes for their public classes and we can deliver the same to them.
- All WiZiQ teachers and members would be able to see the Virtual Class Embed code for all public sessions and they can paste the same on any blog or website, even if they are not the presenters of those sessions.
- They can copy the code and place it either on their blog [Edit HTML option] or their website [after checking the source of the website].
- They can view the website to make sure everything is working fine.
On their blog or website:
- The students and learners on the teacher's website or blog would be able to view the details of the class and register/ sign in for the class. The users can create an account with WiZiQ directly from a Virtual Class Embed itself. It is free and only takes a minute.
- They would be able to send a message to the teacher, browse other related public sessions and invite their friends to the session [all upcoming features] from a Virtual Class Embed itself.
- Finally, when the session starts, the students can chat live with the presenter, watch the presenter and whiteboard/ documents/ content.
- Students cannot participate via audio or video conferencing through Virtual Class Embeds
- Once the session ends they can provide the feedback and view the recording for the session [upcoming feature].
The Virtual Class Embed is a highly interactive piece of software code in itself and creates engaging, dynamic content for your website and blog from your WiZiQ classes. If you would like to try a Virtual Class Embed in your website, you can copy the following code for an upcoming session to see how it works:
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="481" height="407" id="player"><param name="movie" value="http://www.authorlive.com/aliveext/EmbedauthorLIVE/authorlive.swf" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"/><param name="allowNetworking" value="always"/><param name="FlashVars" value="sessionkey=32E1D2ADA79C4F938D163A34B39ED2F0" /> <embed src="http://www.authorlive.com/aliveext/EmbedauthorLIVE/authorlive.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" FlashVars="sessionkey=32E1D2ADA79C4F938D163A34B39ED2F0" allowscriptaccess="always" allowNetworking="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="481" height="407"> </embed></object>
Alternatively, you can register and attend the class from this post itself:
