Dave has an informative presentation in the content section on WiZiQ, which I thought can be very helpful for everyone who would like to start their online teaching business, or if they have started already but need some more tips to get it better.
He has provided some starting tips but of course you can always use other channels and ideas. This is not a state-of-the-art user guide, but has some useful tips which should not be overlooked. After the introduction it talks about the importance of your profile on WiZiQ. This is like your CV, and as the students choose teachers after seeing their profile, it must be professional and unique.
Then it has some tips about online and offline marketing - how and where you can market your sessions to have more attendees. Your blog is a great place for posting about your coming session, and also other opportunities are mentioned like forums and classifieds. But of course in promoting yourself you have to be creative! Lastly, this presentation also suggests that before you start to make sessions for a bigger audience, you should practice on WiZiQ's free Virtual Classroom because practice makes perfect!
We also recommend that if you are a subject expert, you should hold your own public session on WiZiQ. If you would like to hold public sessions, you just have to fill in a form, and after review, it will appear on the public session page. We will help you in promoting your session, connecting you directly with potential learners. You can apply here.
OpenWorld : I would like to do a comparison. How about collaborating on this? Let me know.
Oscar : You can try WiZiQ help. Alternatively, write to us at support@wiziq.com and we will arrange a personalized demo for you. You can also check upcoming public sessions on WiZiQ in left hand corner of this blog.
Shubranshu : I suggest you subscribe to the blog feed and also create an account at WiZiQ.com and subscribe to our public sessions.
Thanks

Glad to find Wiziq! At first look, it offers a remarkable service for global eLearning.
We're especially interested in web-based solutions for peer creation of eLessons (and peer feedback on the learning resources. Hope Wiziq can support this.
Also, is there a comparison of features offered by Wiziq and similar sites, such as LearnHub, ALISON, and StudentsKnow.com?
